Violetfern Original Creations
These are costumes that I design, make and sell myself via
Ebay.
To view some of these costumes, go to the
gallery section of
this site and check out the costumes under the "Violetfern Originals"
heading.
These costumes are often one of a kind, or extremely limited
amounts (like four or three).
Prices for these outfits vary between $25.00 (for a very
basic outfit) to about $85.00 (for a more elaborate outfit).
Most of the time I sell costumes at a fixed price (Buy It
Now) but I do occasionally put things up for auction.
Costumes
:How to dress your doll:
This isn't actually a question I get asked a lot but I think
it needs mentioning. This is the order I prefer to put the pieces of
costume onto my dolls so that it flatters the dolls figure. Also, I find it
helps to have a doll stand. These pieces are not included with ALL
costumes, if your costume lacks one of these pieces, just move to the next
piece in order.
After you're done, arrange the layers so that everything
drapes properly and flatters your doll.

Photographs / graphics / copyrights etc.
All graphics on this site (including the little custom
Violetfern Kao-ani), were made by me, and therefore, belong to me. If there
is anything here you'd like to use, please read further...
::Photographs:: I really don't mind if you
want to use the dolly photographs under the "Violetfern Originals" heading
for your own purposes. As a matter of fact, people have come up with some
very interesting ideas for some of them in the past, they've been turned
into charms, printed on T-shirts, modified into artwork, etc. etc.
Personally, I think that's pretty cool, and far be it from
me to try and stifle anyone's creativity
.
So please feel free to run wild, within reason... Also, a bit of credit
flung back my way, should you use the photos, would be much appreciated.
::Kao ani's::
The little kao
ani's that can be found throughout this site were made by me. Now, I
know they are pretty basic (about as basic as Kaoani gets) but they still
took a long time to make. The reasons I made my own were:
a: to have exclusive kao's for my site
b: not to step on the toes of any of the awesome kao
creators out there by swiping their stuff.
So I would prefer it if these Kao's are left to bob and
float in peace on my site. In other words, please don't swipe them.
::Other stuff::
The background for this site is made from a sketch of mine
(note the unicorn)
The heart / tribal pattern used in the border, is also from
a sketch of mine.
You'll note that most of the photographs feature overlays in
the background. These are mostly from John Bauers works, which are, to the
best of my knowledge, within the
public domain.
